Default 1st Jeep

I just wanted to say hey to everyone. I am new to the forum and the Jeep world. I just bought a 2008 Unlimited Sahara. After seeing all of the cool mods you all have done, I am already looking to add a few to mine. I am planning on a set of 17" AEV's with a set of aggressive looking 33". Then in about a week or 2, adding a 2.5" lift. I have read several posts here and being a newbie..........I still have many questions .

I read of some issues with the teraflex lift on the '08 jk's. Has anyone had a lift on an 08 that works flawlessly and would recommend.

Also, what width on 33" tires can I get away with, without a lift at the moment. I read somewhere 10.5 but I also saw where someone had 12.5's without any rubbing issues.

Maybe this is the wrong area for my questions and I apologize if so. Anyway, hi again and I totally dig this site and appreciate all who have made it great. I'll post a few pics after a few mods are done.

Congrats on the Jeep and welcome to the site. I have the 2" Black Diamond Lift and haven't had any problems with it. As far as tire width goes you can do 33 x 10.5 on the stock wheels or 33 x 12.5 on the AEV's without rubbing, the AEV's have less back spacing.
