I’m just wondering if anyone has any experience with replacing the main wiring harness in a 2009 jk? I have searched online and haven’t found much info on this project. I think it might be called the “chassis wiring harness,” but I’m not sure.
i found a jeep with salvage title that had a fire right on top of the engine, but only burned up the wiring and melted the intake cover.
Looks like an easy fix, but I’m just wondering if there could be other issues that I’m not seeing. Would the computer system be damaged from the harness getting burned out or anything like that?
Thanks for any advice and assistance you might have!

Yes but just briefly, I will check there again though, thanks for the idea.
if i could find the names and part numbers of the engine harnesses that would help me a lot. Most of the google articles i have found deal with lighting and radio wiring.
Your Mopar dealer parts guy is most likely the best go to person for harness numbers. I can send you 36 pages of wiring diagrams but that is only 2008 schematics without harness numbers.
If this is available from MOPAR..This might be the wiring harness you are seeking: $539 MSRP
5148111AC Wiring, Engine Chrysler Wiring, Engine Chrysler

Thank you all for the help, I will definitely call mopar. Does anyone know where i could find picture diagrams of all the wiring so i could verify what i’m looking at? I think i found the main engine harness already on mopar, but theres another harness that runs right beside it that doesn’t show up on the engine diagram i found. I’m thinking it might be called a “dash wiring harness,” but i will have to do some more looking to make sure. Thanks to everyone on this forum for your help. It’s amazing how knowledgeable some of you are and just how much info can be found on these forums.
