Default ABS Module replacement Jeep Wrangler

08 wrangler, abs module was bad (had the abs, e-brake, and car with squiggle lines lit up on dash). Replaced it (that was fun, didn’t want to bleed the brakes so we did it the tough way) now the e-brake is no longer lit, but the check engine light is as well as the abs, and squiggle car still. Additionally, the speedometer doesn’t work now. Is this because I need to get it flashed or do I have other issues as well now? can I do the battery disconnect reset instead of paying for a flash?

This is from the 2008 JK service manual: NOTE: If the Antilock Brake Module (ABM) is being replaced with a new ABM is must be reprogrammed with the use of a scan tool.

I do need it scanned, and have an appointment with the dealership on the 10th, but I was just wondering if the new non-working speedometer issue is bc of the replacement abs module. Guess I will find out on the 10th, lol. It’s is driveable and luckily with a stick shift, I know my approximate speed with what gear I’m in and the rpm’s. All this stupid ecu crap makes me want to find an old ass Jeep so I don’t have to rely on dealerships when repairs are done 🤦🏻‍♀️

I've not heard of a speedo not working outside of TIPM issues but I could certainly be wrong. The wheel speed sensors feed that data back to the computer and it shows your speed based on that. If you've got a cheap obd2 dongle, you should be able to see that coming in. Keep us posted what the dealer has to say.
