Hi all! While I'm new to the JK and Rubicon world, I've been doing the Jeep thing for a lot of years. Started out with a CJ7 and worked my way through an M725, XJ, ZJ, WJ, CJ8, and most recently a CJ5. Recently my sons have both gotten Jeeps('00 XJ and an'18 JL) we've been looking more at overlanding, trail riding and of course some rock crawling and the good ole 5 just wasn't what I wanted for that so the search began! Last week we found a well maintained, lightly modified, 2010 JK Rubicon about 4 hours away so we drove out, looked it over, drove it around and pulled the trigger. I couldn't stop smiling all the way home, lol! On to some details-
Mild lift- about 2" with '17 Rubicon HD coils and coil spacers(look to be about 1.75") Skyjacker 7000 series shocks
EAG bumper/tire carrier out back
Unknown winch bumper up front
Unknown rock sliders
Flat fenders
Bestop Trek top Pro hybrid slant back soft top
Fuel Zephyr wheels
35x12.50x17 Yokohama Geolanders
Debadged by a previous owner(I'll be adding some of that back)
Future plans- not a lot, definitely going to put a winch on. I did put on neoprene seat covers today to keep the upholstery nice, lol! I just plan on driving it and enjoying it as a daily driver, overlanding, trail rig. Now back to more lurking and learning since this is my 1st JK, I've got a lot to learn!
Welcome to JKF. This has been a great resource of material over the years and we have a pretty cordial group of folks relative to a few of the other venues out there.
Welcome to the club! Thanks for joining us. There are lots of great choices for parts, services, and many owners willing to help you. Good luck and keep us posted!
