I am a newbie to forums in general, so excuse any potential newbie mistakes. I just ordered my JK yesterday, I was told it would arrive in 4-6 weeks. I got the fully loaded Umlimited Sahara in Black, with both a hardtop and the soft. Does anyone know if the order time is accurate? I can't sleep at night I am so excited! I am driving my husband crazy!

All I know is that if you had mygig, the wait will be longer. Some people have waited months for their JK's with mygig.

 

Yes, I opted for the mygig. Hopefully it will arrive before August!

 

Hate to burst your bubble but according to Don-A-Vee (the apparent Wrangler ordering guru) if your order is not in "C" status as of 5/7 then you'll be getting a 2008 Wrangler, not a 2007. And from what I've read the 2008's don't start production until July....AND your order will not roll over, meaning either you will have to order again or your dealer will have to re-enter your order as a 2008. Maybe there's something I don't know, but it doesn't look like you'll be getting your jeep in 6-8 weeks. Just trying to help you out...

Lol, I walked onto a Jeep lot in the area, saw a black unlimited sahara with a softtop and offrad bumpers and that was it. Sucks you have to wait.

 

Thanks for the advice and for pointing out that link to me. I am really concerned now. I spoke to the salesman yesterday and told him that I heard the wait time might be more than 4 weeks. He said they will know a more exact time frame on the 1st of the month. I then found the order link and the phone number to call. I called the salesman back, left a message and asked for my VIN. He also told me there aren't any JK's within a 500 mile radius that match what I want so I have to build one. I wonder if I should tell him to wait and get in line for an 08. I intend to have this Jeep for life and an 08 on paper 20 years from now...well it's technically a year younger. I am torn 08 or 07, I am probably looking at a difference of a month on wait time. Any advice -What would you do?

 

NJCH412, just noticed you are proably a 1st Lt. My borther is too, he is in Fort Hood. He drives a 2dr rubicon Unlimited. Which base are you stationed?

 

I will introduce myself in this thread since MallCrawler is my wife...... The JK will be her vehicle, as the Jeep bug is contagous and she caught it from me.... and I think I created a monster!

But how many of you guys are jealous that my wife is the one driving the purchase of a JK??? And to boot, she is asking when we can lift it.
