Angry Door Hinge Misalignment

Hello all, first off I am a new member to this forum, so please correct me if I need to complete any formalities to abide by forum rules.
I bought my first Jeep 3 days ago, it was at night, and I did not see this issue when I bought the vehicle.
The passenger side door only is pretty awfully misaligned, and besides taking it back to the dirt lot I bought it from, was wondering what your thoughts are on it? How can I fix this, and how can I properly align my door?

Thanks in advance,

Andrew

So you have some obvious damage there. Loosen those torx bolts and hope that as you reposition the hinge things align as they should. You can replace both the hinge on the door and in the jam if need to. Quadratec can be a good site for factory replacement parts when needed. One nice thing on wranglers is easy or replacing most parts. You might look around and even be able to find a black door to replace that with for a reasonable amount (easier if you don’t have power windows). I presume you got a good enough price on the jeep that the damage didn’t matter to you.

**usually there is a torx nut on the underside of those hinges to secure the door. If you open that door and undo the strap and wiring harness, you should be able to lift it right out and work on it off the jeep. Those nuts aren't a big deal. I've been driving without em for 7 years now. They're just a hindrance if you take doors off ever.**

Welcome to the forum btw!

Welcome! I think you should be able to loosen the two bolts and get that straight.... It obviously was taken off at one point and re-installed out of whack. They have a number of things that could have had mounted using those hinges... and just looks like they were careless putting them back on straight.
