Default ESP/ABS issue

I have a new to me 2008 JKU Rubicon., so I don't know the history of the vehicle I was diving in the rain the other day, and the tires would spin on hard accel. I noticed that the ESP light on the dash was not blinking when this happened. When I press the ESP on/off switch it does nothing, but I can see it activating with JScan when pressing it. When I turn the key to start the vehicle the EPS, ABS and ESP/BAS lights on the dash do not illuminate, but when I do a cluster light test they all work properly. I've tried hard braking and the ASB does not activate. I can perform the ESPOFF steering wheel dance and it says EPSOFF in the cluster, but when I do it again the text goes away and the ESP and ABS still do not work. I've removed the center console and dash, and there are no switches, mods, or damaged wiring. I've checked for water ingress in the locker connectors as recommended by a Jeep guy that I know, all looks good. I can communicate with the control module with JScan. There are no fault codes or warning lamps. Am I missing something? I'm stumped! Any help would be appreciated.

I am a retired 30yr BMW technician so Im not afraid to get in and tear stuff apart.

Thanks

Welcome to JKF. That is solid extensive research with the Jscan.. Good group here and not shy .. will provide suggestions.. I'm not the one with much knowledge on ESP and ABS.. I just push the button on ours and it functions (only shuts down about 80% and still kicks in when getting sideways; takes away much fun. 1 thought; check the manual for these ceasing to work in 4Lo.; not saying yours is in 4Lo might be a signal though.

Following. I’m having a problem with mine also. My code reader says drivers rear. Changed it and still there. If it’s the module, I hear you go into limp mode. Mine isn’t. You and I may have to check our wiring.
