Default Faint metallic rattle under acceleration

So I have a 2011 2dr sport with the 6spd. Over the past couple of months I have started to notice a faint metallic sounding rattle that seems to be coming from the passenger side. It typically only happens under acceleration or when down shifting. And sometimes at high rpm’s on the highway in 5th and 6th. My thoughts were maybe a loose heat shield somewhere?

Welcome to JKF. Sounds like an exhaust heat shield could be a cuprit. They actually corrode around the bolts and come loose so in my case I just keep putting larger panel washerson the studs holding them and good for another couple of years.

Welcome.... heat sheild is likely, another thing to check is the bolts at the eghaust flange that can create a rattle too.
