The first mod on the rubi
Hey everyone,
Had my 2010 2dr rubi for about 3 months. I finally purchased a rock hard front bumper, rock hard rear bumper w/tire swing, and smitty rocker guards.
I am relatively new to off roading and have a few questions about buying and installing a winch! Not sure what would be a good towing capacity? Not sure what a good trust worthy brand would be? Looking for the best winch for my money! Nothing too expensive!

Anything warn would be your best option. Of you do a search online, (jeep Jk winch) it will tell you what pound winch to get. You can find a warn used for a good price and they are solid! The XRCs seem to be ok at a good price. So many options now days.
I'm in the market as well. But most likely will go warn. It will last for years and most importantly you don't want your winch to not work when you need it most! It can be a life saver!

I have been looking around. warn is really proud of there product and you pay for it, but I have only heard good things! After I do the bumper installs upload some pics!
What are some good sites you use? I generally go through quadratec and google search trying to find deals! Any specific sites I need to know about?

Your supposed to go 2.5x the weight so most recommend a 10k winch. Smittybilt XRC10 is what I bought for mine. I paid just over $300 at 4WD.com during one of their parking lot sales.
