Default FNG needing Help!

I'm in need of some help!

I have a 2008 JKU Rubicon with 125k I just tore the engine down due to a turned valve seat (blocked the valve open). Fixed that and had the heads machined. Put back together and it fired right up!

Only problem is that it's now missing (multiple cylinder missfire DTC) and an having a loud "knock" from upper end drivers side!!!!

I didn't pull the timing cover off, so I attributed the misfire before to the stuck valve..but it is misfiring quite badly even after the fix. . So the t timing shouldn't have changed...? And yes, I did check all the plug wires to the coil ( plugs, wires, coil-just replaced.

And the knock.? I tore it down again, everything appears to be where it should be and functioning properly.

I'm at a loss!

Thanks in advance for your help

how long can i drive with a misfiring cylinder? Autoguysland will help you to find the answer if you concern.

You should use the OBD2 scanner to diagnostic in order to know what exactly wrong with your car before you replace something.

Thanks for the tip. I thought it was obvious when I said the DTC said "multiple cylinder missfire" that I had a code reader... A superchip tuner actually.

The Jeep wasn't throwing any codes initially... Then that one. Now clear again. I think I may have found the knocking issue. Pulling in the park again I took off the heat shield for the driver side header and it was cracked so instead of a knock it is blow-by from the exhaust manifold.

Then misfiring by a tribute to having two of the attachment points on the coil work quite on which was definitely my fault so I think I'm good to go as soon as I get a new header
