Welcome to the forum.

I spent 10 years in San Antonio; '72 to '82.
I liked the area, but found I just had to return to Maine.

Default Excited to be on the forum

I'm sure the summers are much nicer in Maine. San Antonio has grown so much in the last 10 years.

Would be great, if you can share some pictures of your JK with us, when you have a chance. What upgrades exactly are you planning to do? Will be happy to help you.

I will post some more once I get some mods on, right now its straight stock Recon Gobi color. After a bunch of research I have ordered the 3.5" AEV lift. This kit seems best suited for my needs and the type of wheeling I'm going to be doing. I plan to do the install in the next couple of weeks, but at the moment i have only received 1 of 3 boxes. I also ordered the Y pipe exhaust modification to fit the lift and the Hellwig rear track bar, BFG 35x12.50 R17 KM2s , and Allloy USA 1.5" wheel spacers as i plan to run the stock wheels for now. Pretty excited hope to have it all installed by Christmas.

If installing y-pipe, be sure to purchase some heat shield and protect those gas lines and the corner of the fuel tank real good.

Default Neighbors!

Hey ... just bought my first jeep ... finally and joined the forum. I live in Adkins, just outside of San Antonio by about 15 miles so that makes us neighbors. I will also be starting a few mods in Jan. Rod

Hey, just joined. Picked up a 2013 2door almost 2 weeks ago. I'm out in San Angelo. Only a couple hours away.

so here are some pics from the install and the finished product.. installed the y-pipe, 3.5" AEV lift with high steer kit and front geometry correction brackets, Hellwig rear sway bar, Hard Rock 4x4 oil skid plate, Terraflex highlift jack mount. and 4wheel parts installed the tires. all took about 18hrs in total. just need to get an alignment that is scheduled.
