Default Hi there!

Hi all! This is my first Jeep and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ve wanted one for at least 15 years 😬 I’m the third owner. It came with a 2” lift, bumper with brush guard, Fox shocks, soft top, hard top, and roll cage. Wasn’t planning to do any mods yet, but alas, within the first week we had to take the front drive shaft off and will need to upgrade the entire front driveshaft assembly, because whoever did the lift never upgraded the driveshafts and it still has stock parts.

Decided I may as well join the forum after all the hours I’ve spent researching Jeep parts… I see many more research hours in my future 😅

Welcome to JKF. Usually a factory DS has decent life with just a 2" lift. Were you getting some sounds emanating from the front DS? The common issue is the boot at the transfer case side rips and spews grease and the CV joint will dry out over time.

Welcome to JKF.. curious as to WHY you had to remove the DS.. BTW We run Stock DS on '13JKU with AEV 2.5" Lift no problems. and we are at 80K on miles.
Keep us updated on what is going on with the DS.
