Default Left Tail Light

My left tail light is not working. I have checked fuses, bulbs, and the connector. Everything looks okay but it does not work. Please help.

If you have trailer wiring, check the connector. It's out in the weather and susceptible to corrosion. The wiring ties in with the taillight and a short there can mess the lights up.

I looked at the connector, and it got loose and ended up melting onto the exhaust muffler. Is there a good forum about bypassing the wiring harness, and just make the wiring go straight to the tail light?

Are you certain it isn't the wiring harness for the trailer wiring that's on the muffler? I don't recall my harness going down that direction but the trailer harness does. You could easily unplug it, replace the harness ($20 online) and save yourself quite a bit of headache.

UPDATE: Fixed it, just unplugged the trailer wiring harness and connected the tail lamp without it! Worked like a charm!

Well you're in good shape then- buy another trailer harness and make sure you tie it up tightly.
