Default Lift kit advice

Hi guys. New here just got a 2019 Rubicon. I am primarily going to be off roading with it, overlanding and some rock garden trails with the Jeep club. I'm not ever going to boulder with it. I'm looking to install 35s and will need a lift to avoided rubbing.

Torn between the 2.5 or 3-3.5 inch lift. For my needs any thoughts on the lift height? I live Pacific Northwest so we have some intense trail networks. I want clearance but don't want to look rediculous if I only ever have 35s. Second question is lift kit to go with. Do I need a long arm, short, or mid arm? This is my daily commuter, but I work 6 mi from home, and take no highways to work. Any advice appreciated. So many kits and options to choose. It's a lot.

You should lift high enough to accommodate tires and nothing more IMO. The higher you go you're not improving things, just making life a bit harder on yourself both financially and geometrically with all your angles. A 2.5" lift paired with 35s is a really nice look and going to take you just about everywhere you want to go. When you build past that you get diminishing performance returns for the extra money you're spending. Take a look at Metalcloak's 2.5" lifts. If you are interested in them then sign up for their mailing list. They blast out "flash sales" that typically just last a day or two and are usually 10% off and free shipping. Usually they are around holidays, sometimes just random weekends or days.

Welcome to JKF. I don't like to steer people away, but you do own a '19 JL and might find a little more specific support on on of the JL forums. A few folks here have both JKs and JLs, but when you start having JL specific issues rather than general questions we might not have the same support for ya.

A short arm metal cloak kit should do you fine. This is their most basic kit and you can always add to it over time. Their Rock sport shocks ride nice and won't break the bank.

Welcome! To run 35's you won't need much... on a JL. IF you want a little extra space, there are some 3/4 inch or1 inch puck type lifts that will give you space for flexing 35's
