Sister-in-law just got home from 2 months in hospital and she cannot walk far or climb into the Jeep anymore.(she is really short) So we need to sell it and get a motorized wheelchair and mobility van. I would just trade it into the mobility company but they are broke and need as much as I can get out of it so looking for guidance on private sale pricing.

2018 Blue Jeep Wrangler JL Sahara with 9,000 miles(yes that's correct!) Driven by a little old 63-year-old lady never off pavement or beat on. Original owner with clean title no loan on it. Clean Carfax no accidents garage kept non-smoker. Packages appear to be Safety Group, Quick Order Package 24G, LED Lighting Group, Dual Top Group, Electronic Infotainment System Group, Cold Weather Group. From neighbors' photos, it does not appear to Tow pkg.

It sucks as she loves this Jeep but she cannot get into it anymore and she needs a mobility van to get back to some normalcy. I know nothing about Jeeps but really good with other cars and this thing is mint and super low miles (9000 in 4 years)

Looking through KBB, NADA, Edmunds, and Car guru looks like a good starting asking price is 43-44k then we can come down a little. You won't find a lower milage old lady-driven Jeep anywhere its pretty much brand new. I'm trying to help her out as I'm closest in Charlotte NC Jeep is in Wilkesboro NC.
Any guidance is appreciated.

 

Welcome to JKF and sorry to read of your situation. Nice looking Jeep and presents well.. Look into a TRADE on the needed Mobility equipped van .. You might call local Jeep dealerships many are claiming to buy .. and these companies that buy (advertise they buy your car) Carvana, Vroom, see what they offer and if it gets to the book prices of what you already know.
Post up on Facebook marketplace too with a price above the $44k number, as you noted you can always negotiate down..

 

yeah, I've tried a few of the sites. CarMax gave an offer of 38400. With only 9K miles and all the bells and whistles, I am hoping to get them 42k which looking around seems about the right price. They need the money so I'm trying to get the most out of it. My wife's other brother was telling us he had a "friend" that wanted it and it was only worth 32k. The husband and wife that own it do not work and live on a very small fixed income. and here is the other brother wanting to buy it for 10k less and he makes like 25x what they do. POS. I tried posting the Jeep on here but I guess because I just joined no idea. If I get access ill post it in the classifieds. Appreciate it!

Where I live the retail is around $42 so of course trade in is less. Keep in mind she is basically 5 years old now. Good luck and sorry she is in that situation now.
