Mewbie in California - near Stockton
I can't say I am new to off roading because I had 4 wheel drive trucks. It was awesome of roading and camping with those. Years teacing at a technicial trade school, several of my colleagues back in the 1980's had Jeeps and would take routine trips through the Rubicon. Found my trucks were too big to negotiate some of the turns and rock climbing. Always wanted a Jeep after that. In 2011 purchase my 4 door JK Rubicon Wrangler Unlimited. Love it and the features. Had a great time at 4 Wheel Parts customer appreciation day where I was able to work with my wife on safe off roading. She had never been off road in her life and loves it.
Looking forward to seeing what everyone has got to say and hope that I can contribute some productive advice being that I have been an master certified automotive technician over 25 years.
