New from Chicago! Ski Racks?
Hello All!
I'm very excited to officially join the JK community following the purchase of my new baby, The Rock Lobster! After debating it for a year, I decided to start this new year with a new car, and never thought twice about getting back into a Jeep. I talked myself down from a Rubicon (one day...) and the Sport model with a few upgrade packages was exactly what I needed and less than a Sahara. I went in looking at black, and fell in love with the new 'Rock Lobster' red.
One day, this jeep will spend most of the time jacked up in my garage with different mods on order, but for now it will be my daily driver. I'm still going to be looking into add ons in the next few years, but likely no suspension upgrades anytime soon.
So - does anyone have experience with ski racks? I'm not interested in drilling into the hard top or a full cage, so the Thule 'Spare Me' bike rack with ski rack adapter (9033 TRAM) looks to be the best option. It's not cheap though, just under $400 through carID.com. Thoughts?

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new Jeep!
Not sure on the ski rack but I know there are racks that also fit over the entire hard/soft top for cargo. Probably more expensive than your looking for but you have cargo flexibility.
