New to forum. Question regarding steering wheel 2010 Wrangler X Sport
Just purchased a 2010 Wrangler for my daughter. I have never owned a Jeep. This will be a gift for her on her b day next week. Anyway, the steering wheel seems soft. Almost as if the rubber pad is coming apart from the steering wheel on the inside. I would like to change the steering wheel with either a new stock wheel or an upgraded wheel. Any suggestions? I have done all my own wrenching on every car I have owned. However, I have never dealt with air bag steering wheels. Any advice. Thanks in advance

Welcome! Normally I'd suggest jk-forum for a question like this, but it would appear you're already on it... I'll give you a little bump here and I'm confident someone will have the experience and knowledge you need. Good luck!

Before doing any work on the steering wheel, or any other part of the restraint system, disconnect the battery negative terminal and wait 5 minutes before starting work. That will allow the system capacitor to discharge, preventing accidental air bag deployment.
