Hi! Name is Jeff and I'm new to the Jeep world. I purchased a used 2008 Wrangler and so far I'm very happy with it. I got it with a 3" lift, 18" Mamba wheels with 295/70/R18 Nitto Trail Grapplers (I believe 35" overall), ACE bumpers front and back. I'm looking to change the wheels however as I'm not really into chrome and also the fender flares. I've done some minor mods (that's how it starts. LOL) such as Trek Armor seat covers, and an aftermarket shift knob. Eventually I'm also looking at changing the gearing on it to make it more friendly for the wheel/tire size.

But, I'm happy to be here and hope to learn more about my Jeep and Jeeps in general.

Thanks. Nice to see some one else from the area on here. I'm in Summerville.

I've already got the Rugged Ridge Hurricane flares. Just need to pick a day to install them. The ones on it now were stockers that were trimmed, but it wasn' t a good job on the rears.

Hey Jeff,

I'm thinking about basically doing the same setup that you have. Do you notice the Jeep being really sluggish on pickup without the gears being changed?

Its hard to tell. I'm still getting used to how it drives. To me it did take a little more to get it through the gears with 35's but now that I've dropped down to 33s it seems to accelerate a lot smoother and it doesn't struggle as much. I still would like to re-gear it though.
