I have been checking out the forum for a few days now and decided to register. This looks like a great place for jeepers. I have a stock 2008 Sahara purchased about a year and a half ago and we just got a 2004 Liberty for my fiance. I love having 2 jeeps in the garage. 
I havent done much off road with my jeep since I purhcased it. Partially because before my Sahara, I had a 2007 X and had a really bad off roading expierence. I had only had it for a couple days and decided to take it off road on a rainy day. My first lesson was that crappy X street tires and big mud holes do not mix. My second lesson was that Jeep decided to skimp and not put any recovery points on the X. I ended up getting out of the hole, but not without a large gouge in my frame from where the chain was connected. This and lack of options led me to upgrade to the 08 Sahara.
I am fairly new to offroading and jeeps and looking to get my feet wet. Mabe I will go to one of your events in my area.

I see you became a member of the Great Lakes. Welcome and join in on the event for this summer. You would have a great time and learn a bunch from a bunch of people who love off-roading.
