Default New JK Owner Here

Hey everyone, I have jumped into the JK world now. Just picked up a 2012 JK 2 door. 6 speed manual. I have been wheeling for a long time in different vehicles. Started in the 2000's with a 1979 Dodge Ramcharger, had a few Chevy pickups, Then into a 2011 Jeep Liberty that I lifted and wheeled for a few years. I have now jumped fully into the Jeep life and love it. Smittybuilt front and rear bumpers, Smittybuilt winch, 2" Teraflex lift, 33" KO2's, Superchip Traildash 2 programmer. Looking at installing a rear locker at least.

Welcome to JKF! We have several members north of the border. The JK was a great platform IMO and so easy to work on. Hopefully, many smiles to come in that thing!

Similar paths... 1979 Dodge Ramcharger. Check. Chevy pickup (Avalanche Z71). Check. 2012 Jeep Liberty lifted. Close enough.

Jeeps (aside from Liberty)... Late 50's (don't remember exact year) Willys pickup. It was "dad's Jeep", but I beat it to death. 1990 YJ Wrangler, lifted and ARB lockers. 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk (cushy ride). A bunch of other nondescript vehicles. 2008 JKU 4-door, automatic trans, 4" lift, back down to 35" tires (37"'s too big IMO), Warn PowerPlant winch, Hypertech programmer, other goodies that drained my wallet, maintenance that lasts forever. Love it!

Welcome to the club! Loving 'wheeling is not a disease! Umm... well, it is, but it's a good one.
