Hello from Central Oregon!
I'm new to the Jeep world after years of enjoying motorcycles and trucks off road. Recently bought a 2012 Sahara Unlimited Arctic Edition with the manual transmission.
I'm looking forward to getting her dirty on some off road adventures with my wife and our dog. I'm adding a tow bar so I can pull it behind our truck camper setup for some extended camping trips.

Reach out if you are in the area!

Welcome. I think adding a tow bar with that bumper is going to be difficult. You can just tow directly from those d-rings depending on what you're using. Is that a Smittybilt bumper? I know BlueOx has adapters to fit a 7/8" Smitty D-ring. Not sure if you're a Blue Ox or Roadmaster guy.

***sorry, you said tow bar and my mind was stuck on a baseplate. I'll leave my original comment even though it might be confusing.

Thanks resharp001, I discovered the same thing regarding the base plate when I started looking for options to attach the tow bar to the Smittybilt XRC Gen 1 bumper.
I ended up with a good deal locally on a Roadmaster Sterling all terrain tow bar. So I've ordered the Roadmaster adapters which will allow it to connect to the D-Rings. Just waiting on the RM parts to arrive...
