New from MO
Hello all! I'm new to the Jeep world. I have a pretty good background in Dodge diesels. I had been researching Wranglers for several months. We traded my wife's GMC Terrain in on a 2015 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara just before Christmas. So far, we love the Jeep! Just to see what it was capable of mpg wise, I drove the first 305 miles like a grandpa. I kept it in Eco mode when at all possible. I filled up today and hand calculated the mpg at 21.3! The breakdown on the 305 miles I would estimate at about 25 mi city, 35 mi 65 mph, 70 mi at 60 mph, and 175 mi at 55 mph. I know I won't always drive like that, but not bad for only being rated at 16-20 mpg!
My only disappointment so far has been the dealer messing up on ordering the lift for it. A 2" lift was part of the deal. They thought they could get it from a neighboring dealer to put on the today. They miscommunicated and that dealer had installed their last lift. In short, I have to take it back in about a week...my fuel to drive back paid for and installing free splash guards to make up for the FUBAR.
My wife and I had already planned a trip to the Rocky Mountain National Park area in the spring. I can't wait to get the Jeep out there!
I will post a pic when I get back to my computer. Having trouble getting it done on my tablet.
