So... I've always found myself playing the "Jeeeeep!" game in the car (you know, like the Slug Bug game but with Jeeps!) and a couple months ago I got wife approval to go and "look" at one! Found a JKU MOAB Edition out at a rural dealership for what felt like a steal - anyway - not important. I have a JEEP!

On to the pictures...

And the mods and such I am considering:
  • 50" LED Bar mounted above Windshield [done!]
  • Hi Lift Jack Mount to upper rear rollbar - "The Dave" [ordered]
  • Quick Fists (and mounts) for Shovel/Axe/etc (attaches to Jack!)
  • DIY sPod (just some relays and such to make adding gadgets easier in future)
  • Winch - considering Quadratec Q11500is, but reading it may not fit my AEV bumper that came with MOAB
  • Lift - not sure how much yet...
  • Tires/Wheels - not sure on this one, either.
  • Soft top - considering Trektop NX Twill Soft Top (seems to convert Bikini, etc)
  • Cold Air intake Mod - maybe AIRAID?
  • Under seat locking storage box
  • Black grille inserts
  • Tailgate bags
  • Ammo cans (why not!?)
  • CB Radio - because, well I'll need it if the zombies invade

Probably missing some very obvious things - feel free to make suggestions!

Just wanted to say "Hi, I'm Don" - I live in OKC and will be looking to get this thing off the road soon. I'm guessing the curb climbing I did at the mall last week to park in the grass doesn't count?! Anyone around OK have suggestions? Looks like the Big Red OffRoad park would be cool...

My banker tells me that ever since I started driving the Jeep my accounts are steadily decreasing. Maybe this was a bad idea!

Hope to see ya'll around!

Congratulations, nice Jeep. I'm curious what the 13' Moab's get in mpg's compared to my 11' JKUR? If you figure that out please post it up.

Right now it's my DD. About 17 miles each way half stop/go. I'm currently averaging 15.4 mpg according to the computer over 3800 miles. I haven't done an actual tank to tank calculation. But will soon.

Any mods you guys suggest to improve mileage?

Thanks for the note, as far as improving mpg's; as you know that's the age old JK question. I couldn't say w/ your 3.6., on my 11' 3.8 I've added an intake and an exhaust and it did help the power a bit, I doubt whether it improved the mpg's at all. I like the Moabs a lot, nice ride.
