New in town
Hi there,
I'm new to Jeeps, having just bought a Surf Blue Islander (well, mostly for my girlfriend) on Memorial Day. We haven't done much to it yet, as we're not really looking at mud plugging - she flies hang gliders, and the old Subaru didn't have the ground clearance to get up some of the hills. We've installed Rugged Ridge tube bumpers, and we're waiting for a light bar to act as the middle of the support for the ladder that we mount the hang glider to on the roof. There'll be a goal post mount from the hitch at the back, and I'll make up a mount for the winch plate at the front.
I'm enjoying going through all the various modifications that we can do - we've rewired the fender marker lights to flash with the turn signals, drilled homes in the mirror mounts to let out water, hidden the garage remote and made up a grille insert so far
