Default Newb from East Texas

hey guys, I'm new to the scene. 20 year old college student, my jeep is daily driver, never been on a trail, but planning on it. Got my jeep for Christmas and stumbled upon your humble little site. I've been lurking around here trying to gather as much info as I could, as I'm not only new to the Jeep scene, but the 4X4 scene as well. I've kept my hands dirty for the past few years working on classic cars, I've had 67 chevy C-10 V8 custom rod, 1973 VW transporter (hippy van) that I completely re did on the interior...its a hippy's dream come true, and a 1964 VW baja beetle. I'm sick of having to fix things though, so I figured I'd get something newer. I chose jeeps because of all the customizations that you can do them. Each one is different....and that brings me to my first question....I have acquired $2700 to spend on my bone stock 2007 JK unlimited...here's what I was thinking.

*BF Goodrich Mud Terrain T/A KM2 (35x12.5R15)
*Smittybilt oversized tire carrier (just untill I can afford a good rear bumper/tire carrier
*Cragar Black Soft 8 15x8 5-5 13B
*Cragar Chrome Center Caps
*Gorilla Wheel Installation Kit and chrome lugs
*Rancho 4" Sport Suspension
*Rock Hard Shorty Front bumper with Tube Extensions and Lowered Winch Without Fog Lights

Total=$2,638.91 shipped to my front door-not including the rancho rebate.

what do you guys think? smart deal? I spent hours looking all that stuff up trying to find the best deals.

thank you all very much for any info you can give!
colby.

Welcome to the site bud. Where are you at in east Texas? You may want to try a local tires shop to make sure those wheels fit. I started out in the VW world as well.
