Hi everyone! New here, but I've been lurking and decided to finally make an account. Super excited about the community and meeting new people. The only thing that has kept me from joining is being a female and 22 years old and the usual backlash I recieve for that, for some reason. I've been trying my absolute BEST learning about vehicles and my dad has been teaching me for a few years. Hoping to learn more about my JK and excited about the JKF. Still learning and motivated to know all about JKs

Welcome to JKF.. The members here are very knowledgeable experienced and willing to provide opinions and answers.. remember the only "dumb" question is the 1 that is NOT Asked. BTW.. you have a great off road area around you. Post up pics of your ride. Enjoy

Welcome to JKF! As far as being a younger female, I'd only say Kudos to you. If you're willing to learn about your JK we're all here to help. I don't think there's anyone on this forum that is going to dog anyone that is either a female or young. Most of us just have an interest in getting people to know their vehicles and help them work on em. These things are a bit unique, specially when it comes to steering issues, and I'm always willing to help along that have a willingness to learn and work on their own vehicles. The bigger issue as I see it is folks that only want the rigs for looks cuz they're "cool", cuz the bottom line is they aren't maintenance-free nor the best vehicles on the road.....though they are fun as hell and rewarding to own.
