Default Old guy with a JKU

Hi,Everyone ! Bought a used 07 unlimited last fall with a rod knock and and a bad automatic .I just finished installing a new LS-7 crate engine with a 6L80 and np241c .I will be doing some other mods soon! First I need to get my BAR inspection.BigRedJK posted some pics of the engine ,thank you. Craig

Sounds like an awesome rig you're working on. Can you post some pics on the thread. Visalia is close to Bakersfield, If you want to hit up Gorman for a test run let me know, nothing beats the sound of a V8.

I've seen his JK with the LS mounted. It's just plain sick. Can't wait to see it in action!

Thanks, for the kind words! I need the encourgement on this project.It only took a week to get the jeep running,but weeks to get the trans out of limp mode.Tonight i got the digital guages calibrated.Lots to finish before I wheel. Will let you know when I'm ready for Gorman!!!

X3 on the pictures i remember seeing the ls in the picture!
We should hit miller lock wood trail its next to gorman!.
I ran with with mike and 21 other jeeps!

I'll take you guys up on your generous invitations!!!! Lets go wheeling...Trying to work out my C.A.R.B legalities with B.A.R. . Put the jeep on the tail pipe sniffer today,PASSED. Then went on the dyno for more emissions testing,PASSED.Now, I need to drive far enough to get O2 tests run in the pcm.

To be honest , I am a little jealous of you guys . I miss Gorman and Miller jeep trail . I learned how to wheel there . I've done Miller in my stock 1961 Willys wagon once and have done it many times in my JKUR .I ended up selling my house down there , quit my job and moved to Reno to be closer to the Rubicon !( and to get the hell out of Ca.)Good luck !

Reno ain't that far! You can still come down and when i built my jeep we can run the Rubicon! (:
