Old School Jeeper - Looking at JK
Well boys and girls, back in the day it was nothing but CJ7s for me. I had (1) 1980 V8/Auto Renegade (2) 1984 I6/4spd Base (3) 1983 I6/5speed Renegade with all the toys (detroit, warn, full cage, 6" lift, headers, ......and then I bought one with square headlights. Traded it with 5000 miles on the odo - not my cup-o-tea.
Times change and so has Jeep - I hear the JK is another good one. So, I'm looking again. This time my setup will be a little different because of highway mile requirements - I'm thinking Rubiconish with a blower, lift, wheels, and tires to start.
I've been around the world of motorsports - from off-road 4wheel to >160MPH road racing to street styling.
I'm not afraid to learn; however, I don't have time to build it wrong and then redo it. Before I spend the coins and time, I thought I'd drop in and learn what modern technology and y'all have to offer.
Here I am.....spend my money

Welcome to the Forum. I don't know exactly what "you" would like but I can point you to some awesome builds. If you want real power you really only have two options - supercharged RIPP or engine swap Hemi.
If you have lots of coin this thread shows how to build it big. I hope this helps you with some decisions. If this just makes it more confusing I suggest you call Dave at Northridge 4x4.com to get on the right track with your needs.

If you are not quite ready to spend that much but have skills how about this:

What about this overseas build:

I would recommend you give these guys a message and see if they can do anything for you. They are our one and only dealership on the site. Couldn't hurt to call. Welcome to the site.

Well thanks for the warm welcome....and the thread links! I'll mosey around for a while and stick my nose in a few threads and lay out a plan. Thanks again and tread lightly (do they still say that?).
