Some say Im Nuts!!
HI ALL , guess im new to the forum if im posting here. Name is Gary (blackbirdl98) and I just bought my First jeep last week. It is a 2011 Wrangler Sport 2 door, soft top 6 speed. What got me to buy a jeep was last year we had a crap load of snow in West Virginia. At the time all I had to drive was my (still own) 2005 Ford F150 4x4 lifted on 35,s. I needed another 4x4 that got better than 10 miles to the gallon. I looked at Every 4x4 made ,and the best deal was the Wrangler. I had not heard alot of bad things bout a jeep ( i might be sorry) and I see jeeps every where.
I own 2 other cars that I never drive in the rain or snow, a 1989 Trans am Gta and a 1995 Firebird formula. I wanted something that I could get decent gas mileage,go anywhere, and take off road when I see the need, My F150 is ext cab and is hard to get in some places, the Jeep just seemed better for going off road to me, and I know the Jeep will go places the F150 wont
Now the reason some say Im nuts, I traded in a 2007 Mustang ( Roush Clone ) With only 12,000 miles! Yes it was a fun car, but I had 3 sports cars at the time, and 1 had to go, The GTA is one of 1,654 produced in 1989 Black and Gold. The 1995 Formula is 1 of 916 built with Leather and No t-tops and is Ram AIR. I dont think I was nuts, just didnt need the Mustang any more, had it 4 years.
Some wont even look at the Jeep , they say WELL ITS NOT A MUSTANG, no crap!!

Thank you very much for the welcome. Got 200 miles on the new Jeep,and I luv it!!!
Had to ask a few questions about certian thing I didnt know about at dealer, but other than that Its great.
I will be posting a few pics soon, I have already installed wheels/tires, so if someone needs a set of stock 16 inch tires and wheels, I can sell them. Been trying to find a new hard top also , again Thanks , The info here is the Best, and so are the people!!

Hey! I had an 1987 Firebird Formula back in the day! Didn't expect to see the car pop up here. Boy that was a fun car to drive - LOVED the WS6 suspension. Congrats on the Jeep. I have an F150 4x4 alos and wanted to take it to the next offroad level too!
