Ya. it get tiresome welcoming new members when 95% of them offer no content to the site. Most dont give any info about them or their rig and don't fill out their profile. They then ask 1 question that is already answered in the stacked posts. Welcome to the board.

I'd also add that I think a lot of people don't venture into the New Member Registry sub-forum (or use the "new posts" link) and never even see those threads. Although there are a few regulars hanging around, the majority of members seem to be researching issues, fixes, or looking for advice rather than trying to add to the community
Anyhow, welcome.

Oh I get it ...... old guy here that has been around a long time.
You get tired of the same old newbie questions : what tire size
how much lift etc. I'm a moderator in a Off-Road club and we try
to go out o the way to at least welcome to new members.
After totaling my TJ I thought it was time to go a mall crawler
for wife and grand kids. I bought a JKU and thought I would
check y'all out.
All that crap is in my new member post plus pictures

I think all the forums took, a big hit as the younger guys all transitioned to Facebook. They come here to fix their problems, but for general comradery they stick to FB. I'd venture to guess most the regulars are 40+ with a couple outliers.

So you know (in case you don't)... the moderators and admins for this forum are volunteers that still have daily jobs and families. We try to greet each new member. Sometimes we don't make it to the forum for a day or three.

Hug it out man! We could use some newer members that add some good advice/opinions round here, and it seems you have a solid background to offer up your perspectives. Don't take it personally.
