Picked up 2014 JKU rubicon in December. I bought it for my son who is 15 and learning to drive. I wanted him to learn on a manual transmission. I’m having more fun with it than he is.
Updates so far: New mats Grab handles Shift knobs Steering wheel JK pockets to replace saggy nets Replaced antenna Replaced soft windows
mopar fuel filler door Alpine head unit with backup camera (installed by cartunes Atlanta) Visors fixed
Fortec did the following: 2.5” lift with bilsteins 35” bfg ko2 Aev salta wheels Jk steel rear bumper Jl steel front bumper Pending: warn evo winch didn’t arrive in time
The only items on my wish list now are some recovery tools and update headlights. Old headlights look really crappy now that new bumper is installed.
I have new hood latches but haven’t installed yet.
Welcome to JKF. One thing new owners often overlook is steering. The ball joints on the D30/44 axles suck, especially if rolling on larger tires. What lift was installed?

it’s the Fortec “shop” lift. Also included old man emu steering stabilizer.
Welcome, Looking Good Rig.. Excellent thought process having your son learn on the 6 speed.. did the same for mine and when he graduated HS only 2-3 other seniors did drive a Stick..
