Hello everyone,
I just joined your Jeep JK forum and I thought I would post a introduction about myself. I just purchased a 2008 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon (4 Door) and I have loved it so far. Unfortunately I have already had in the the shop to put a new engine in. I hydro locked the motor and broke the connecting rod to the No 1 piston about a month ago. So I just got it back and I have already ordered a Rubicon Express 3-1/2" lift with 35" Mickey Thompson Tires. I am hoping to have it all installed in 2 weeks, it can't get here fast enough... Oh and I will probably be looking at adding a snorkel kit after my last encounter with water, lol. Welcome to the site. Sorry to hear about your difficulties with the engine. Looks like the speed forced the water up into your engine compartment causing the hydrolock. You probably did the real damage when you tried to turn it over after it stalled.
