Default Wheel Backspace

Hello, so im looking to purchase some rims and noticed that the rims i want match all my specs i want. So the rims are 15x10 and has a backspace of 4.5, i need a backspace if 7.5. I have a 2006 gto and not a jeep, this is a universal question and was wondering if i can get some spacers to fix that, new to this and honestly dont truly understand it.

thanks!

If you're at 4.5" (about half outside the body) then you can't go to 7.5" (a couple inches outside the body) without going to new wheels. I'd be a little surprised if you could make 15x10's work on the front end of a GTO.

The 15x10 only fits in the rear, with a few modifications that is. For it to fit, the wheels have to be 15x10 with backspace of 7.5. I found some rims that are half off and look really good but they have a backspace of 4.5 instead.

I get that this is a universal question, but still very odd that if going to take the time to register/join a forum, why not make it a GTO specific one where you can get all sorts of useful information on your car.
