Is anyone up to wheeling this weekend
There is a hell hole run tomorrow that leaves Georgetown at 8AM. About 8 rigs so far. Georgetown is about an hour from Prarie City.
If you're interested you can meet us up there. Hell hole is a fairly easy run down the trail. The harder direction is heading up back out.

I ran the first couple of miles of Fordyce both yesterday and today. Not too too many guys out, but man is it beautiful. The creek is running high and cascades down in one section right through the trail itself. Absolutely gorgeous. When I left there tonight there were only four trailers in the parking lot, so not too too many guys out there now. I'm toying with the idea of going back out there Sunday, maybe hanging a left and head down into the Eagle Lakes area and either flyfish the lakes or Fordyce itself, although I think that is going to be way too high for a flyrod right now.
Signal Peak may be an alternative, though there is still a lot of snow covering the peak and I'm not sure you can make it to the summit. But I bet you could do the first mile or so. Just some ideas.

I am thinking of Prairie City Sunday morning for a few hours.

I am anxious to see what they really did, and will be neurotic about it for a while until i am convinced it will hold.
