We generally pick a more central location where everyone is near by within aprox 45 miles. And Most of them are in San Jose area and yeah some people like us in Richmond, Livermore, Navato, and etc do have some driving to do.

The place you mentioned sounds great and as long as there are enough parking for our big @ss Jeep I say this is a go.

Its actually called the Bannana Leaf in Melpitas Parking lot is plenty big. Bad thing is I think Iam being sent out of town
