Default Bodie Ghost town

Went for a jaunt out east to Bodie. The trails were pretty mild but the views were awesome. Cruised through Yosemite on the way home.

Great views!

We had a blast, next time I will try to hit some more difficult trails.

I'm headed there in 3 weeks, entering to the north through Bridgeport and then down the entire Masonic road. I hear the trail is easy and the views are spectacular. Looks like the OP had a fun journey, thanks for posting!

I love going to Bodie. Its only about a 2.5 hour drive over sonora pass and to Bodie itself for me. Up around Sonora pass is one of my favorite areas to go in the summer. Wife and I go there at least a dozen times a summer.

I did the Masonic road trip out of Bridgeport, it will be easy for you. one water crossing that is very easy. Keep an eye out for antelope and birds of pray. We stopped at the town site of Masonic as well. Not much there anymore.
Have a great trip.

Yeah we had a good time. Masonic Trail is pretty scenic! My son really enjoyed the old mines along the trail.
