i went to carnegie. it was fun, but there isn't a whole lot to do. i spoke with one of the rangers and he mentioned that they are adding a "mini rubicon" section, fixing the mud put (which i went thru but totally shouldn't have...what a mess), and the best part is that they are working on adding jeep trails up in the hills. that would be awesome!

That's cool! Did they mention when they would be ready?

it sounds like it would all happen soon. their current permit expires is about a month, and they want to get it done before then. there is a cranky neighbor that tries to stop everything they do, so they want to get it done under the current permit. personally, if i was the cranky neighbor i'd rather have jeeps driving on the hills instead of motorcycles - jeeps are much quieter.

here's a couple videos from yesterday:

i almost forgot... STAY OUT OF THE MUD PIT!!!! it is a thick clay like consistency and is super deep (seeped into my interior thru a drain plug hole that i had left out). i nearly got stuck, but kept on the throttle to keep some momentum going. about an hour after i did this, the ranger came by and informed me "sorry about the mud pit... we are trying to dry out the pit so we can re-do it." i wish the ranger at the gate would have told me that an hour earlier...
