Alignments are done by measuring all 4 wheels. If he has a bent rear control arm, it will throw off the alignment.

So by chance would any of you have a spare stock Rear control arm or steering stabilizer? I'd be willing to buy it from you. It'd save me a lot of $ from the dealership prices.
Have them fix the axle seal, then have them put your jeep back together and get a 2nd opinion. What sensors are they talking about?Do they have something to with your steering? If the rear control arm is bent, what does that have to do with your steering?I can see maybe track bar problems, brackets related to steering alignment.Skip the stabilizer, those things other than leaking or getting damaged should be replaced or just leave it off.

Thanks for the tips/help guys. I dropped it off at the Roseville Dodge\Chrysler\Jeep dealership. I called them yesterday to tell them to hold off on the rca b/c i found one for $50. I was told that they would just match the $50 price but still charge me an additional $150 for the installation. Which I know it only take about 20min to put on. I called them out on it and said they are taking advantage of me and I only want done what needs to be done to get my jeep back. Which they said was everything minus the steering dampner. The sensors they said malfunctioned were my ESC and throttle control sensors. So I got charged for the sensor work, the alignment, the diagnostic and the RCA plus all the labor. Over $550!! It was supposed to be done today. They called me this morning and told me the technician, while fixing my seal noticed that my carrier barring also needs to be replaced which they are also covering under warranty but have to order and are keeping my jeep ANOTHER day. This freaking sucks!!

You are new to the area so I'd consider parts from local dismantlers to save money, or start upgrading to aftermarket arms and links.

PM
Im not having them to the stabilizer. I didnt know you could run it without one. How does that effect the road manners?

Depends how good your over all alignment is and the offset of your wheels. Some people drive fine without one, some have major issues without one.

Sounds like the dealership stuck it to you. I could change a control arm in less than 30 minutes, including getting out and putting away my jack, jack stands, air compressor/wrench and torque wrench and having a cold one during my 10 minute break!!

Well good news is I finally got my pile back and it drives great. Bad news is that I got pretty much raped by the dealer. Lesson learned: never go back to Rosville Chrysler/Jeep ever ever again. Thanks for the help y'all. Now that I'm good to go, who's in the granite bay area is up to go wheeling soon?? It'd be nice to have a local guide or group trip.
