Is putting windshield down legal in California?

I think there is a legal requirement for one to be on vehicle but I don't believe the law says it must be up!

Just watch out for road debris if you're driving on pavement.

I got a full helmet but I think it looks funny riding the Jeep with a bike helmet on! I will use larger sun glasses, a cap, and avoid highways.

I think state law says you have to have a windshield, but I wouldn't recommend driving on the highway with out it even if its legal, I had 2 light shields busted on my lights by rocks last week, if that would have been my face I would be missing teeth!

I used to have a VW Thing 181. Lowering the windshield was a snap on that car. I wish it was easier on the Jeep...
