You may want to check out a guide book by Massey called Norther California Backcountry Adventures for $30-40. It has directions with GPS coordinates. I used to check out some trails in Mendocino Nat Forest on Monday. Most of the trails are more scenic and not so challenging.

I don't currently have anything put together---> but we can use this thread to get started
