Since we were going out solo, I decided to head up to the Gold Lake area and do some exploring. Trails are all mild. The one exception was a short rocky descent to get to Deer Lake, which was nice because that meant there was no one else there. We also walked up to the Sierra Buttes lookout which was amazing and somewhat frightful.

Pretty sure that part of the Deer Lake trail is supposed to be closed

Snake Lake is another trail in the area that is testing, would like to get up there again this year.
