Default Preventative Maintenance

I am curious what you do for preventative maintenance. I am also interested in what you do after a wheeling trip.

Last weekend I went to Hollister Hills to try and troubleshoot a growling noise that I hear in low range. The noise happens when traveling at low speed and seams to go away when the vehicle speed increases (though the increase in speed is not much in low range). I also noticed that when coasting downhill, if the clutch is depressed the noise is present (starts out as a whirring noise that turns into a growl). When I coast downhill with the transmission in neutral, the noise is not present. I also wanted to try out a couple of new mounting locations for my Go Pro. Two videos that I made from the trip are:

Working Hard - YouTube

Hollister Hills Teaser - YouTube

After watching the videos, it became clear that I need to address how the front brake lines are routed.

My preventative maintenance / post wheeling maintenance includes checking all bolts (suspension links, driveline, bead locks, etc.) and inspecting the undercarriage for any obvious issues, greasing u-joints, etc. I also try to listen for any new noises.

I pretty much do exactly what you listed after wheeling. Hardly ever find anything loose, but you never know.
