Hey friends, I've been offline for sometime and have not been able to keep up with the forum. Partly because of the move but more recently my wife and I were involved in a head on collision that nearly took my life.
On Sept 30 I was up visiting and Dana and I decided to watch the sunset in Pacifica due to my flight home to LBC being delayed... After the sunset we headed back up the hill towards SFO and collided head on with a Trailblazer that was traveling approx 35-45mph. We were driving my wife's VW GTI. We both suffered serious injuries. Dana broke her hand, toe, and her maxillary facial bone which resulted in shifted teeth and the loss of one. I suffered a dissected aorta, a broken femur (broke in 3 pieces),

I had a punctured lung, developed pneumonia, had infections, was medically paralyzed, and suffered a spinal cord contusion. I was sedated for 21 days at SF general hospital. It was a roller coaster of a ride. Thru god's will Dana and I are still here to tell our story. Dana has made a full recovery and is doing well. I am out of the critical stages and have begun physical rehabilitation at Kaiser Vallejo. I am better and in good spirits.
Please use our story as an example to never take life for granted, to appreciate the simple things, and to live more authentically as each day is truly a gift.

Damm. Thankfully you are both on the mend and sounds like you have the right frame of mind. I had my awakening a couple of years back, life is so fragile.

WOW!!! Just happened to check in to see what NorCal was up to and this is what I find. That's crazy! I'm glad you both survived and are well on the road to recovery. There's nothing worse than bad things happening to great people.
