Default Rubicon or Slick Rock 9/27?

Anybody interested? Senor Tortuga and myself are already in I guess. The Slickrock trail is suitable for stock vehicles. Both are very scenic, the Rubicon of course is more of a two day trip and the Slickrock a short day.

Here is a link to the earlier run with WOL in July.

Here's a link to the Rubicon pics from July as well.

There will be 2 of us for slickrock on saturday. I also think I am going to hit Squaw Ridge on the South side of Bear River Res. (off of 88) Friday and then camp at Lake Alpine on Friday night. I would like to do the rubicon, but my buddy with the FJ isn't so sure.

It would be a great end to the summer.

Tell me some about Squaw Ridge? I could do that too maybe. So I guess it looks like Slickrock trail on Saturday. It was just 2 months ago I was at the Rubicon but man do I want to go back! I don't want to be strapping an FJ half way across the trail though either!

Chip, I'm thrilled this is coming together. Looking into Squaw Ridge I think it is actually called the Pardoe trail. I did it earlier in the year on a solo trip. It was pretty fun, nothing too rough, but pretty scenic. I liked it enough to go back a second time. Below is a link.

Senor, responded to your PM, I'll be coming in late Friday to camp or leave early on Saturday and get to the trail around 10:30AM.

I'll probably skip out on all the other trails to get back home Saturday night. I'll have my friend Steve driving with me and at least 2 of our kids and maybe 3 lined up in the back seat!
