The Rubicon Trail is on my list of to do's when I get over to the US. Most of us Aussies dream of giving it a shot.

Are there any books for video's designed to help familiarize a person with the trail?
Rick Russell has some great DVD's out on 4 wheelin'.

He does have one out for the Rubicon Trail!

Has lots of good tips, info and LOTS of wheelin' action!!!

Just hit us Norcal guys up when you guys are heading out this way. We must welcome our guests.

And I am sure most of us would be more than happy to run the Con with you.

Thanks for all the welcoming hospitality! I'd love to make the trip with you guys; unfortunately, it's not in the cards this year. I'm going to let my kids grow up a bit more so they can enjoy the trip west to the max! They are now 7 & 10 years old. If your ever in the mood for some deep woods offroading, make the trip to Maine and I'll be happy to show you around!

There is actually the "Jeep Jamboree" and the "Jeepers Jamboree" They are separate events though similar.
The Jeep Jamboree doesn't have the vendor show, otherwise they are both pretty much the same.
Also, from what I have heard, the Jeep Jamboree has more of the locals that attend rather than folks from all over the US.

I'm all ready to hit up the Rubicon for my first time. I'm looking forward to go with all the Norcal gang. But if that doesn't work then I'll look at a jamboree. So come on over and we'll hit it up...

Read through this thread

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/norcal-77/rubicon-trail-episode-news-110543/

and find the video of them going through the rubicon in stock Rubi JKs. I would think that if this guy can make it, then anyone that actually knows their vehicle could make it just fine.
