I am not sure where Slick Rock is located but you can subscribe to the alerts for the national forest of your choice to see what areas are open and which are still closed. I have subscribed to both, El Dorado and Stanislaus National Forest alerts. I used to do some simple off road in my big truck years ago and wasn't familiar with some of these areas. 15 years later we purchased a new 2011 JK and are loggin some of these areas so my wife and I can check them out and I can introduce her to the fun of off roading.

Should be open. We wheeled it last Memorial day and it was snowing, but it was open. I want to run it again but in the dry this time

It is open. I started running it bottom to top, but got held up by a couple of groups coming down who took a while on one particular obstacle. I ended up going back down went up the highway to alpine lake and went down the entire run.

First time up there, overall it was a fun trip, except my rear locker wouldn't disengage on our way out. I probably could've gotten by without using the lockers, I guess next time I'll try without and lock if I have to. Let me know if anyone is going up, I'd love to run it again.

That sounds like the start of a plan. Let get out there after Memorial weekend. Slickrock is a fun trail.
