Due to the state’s persistent cash and budget problems, the State Controller has directed FTB to stop sending refund requests to the State Controller’s Office for payment. Refund payments will resume when the State Controller indicates there is enough cash available to make refund payments.

I just did my taxes and am getting a refun....I mean IOU. What is so ironic is up until last year when we changed are deductions we used to always OWE!!!

Crap! I guess it's time for me to submit my taxes, so I can stand in line with everyone else. You should hear the kinds of extortion attempts that Santa Clara county is pulling on the company where my mother works. Their company has been identified as a being in an industry with a high potential of lead poisoning, so they're being sent lead abatement fees. What industry, you ask? Electronic funds. They push bits around. Yeah, sure, lead...

 

Man I'm in the IOU queue also to the tune of several grand.... sigh...
