PC is marginally ok. it's cool to cruise around and if it's busy, watch the other rigs. it has an obstacle course similar to hollister but the trails are mundane. with the expected rains, it should be pretty muddy there. been there many times and its a good place to test out new mods. i think it's still $5 to get in the park. i dunno anything about vacaville, although i've seen people out mudding right off I80. looked like fun but never been there.

PC= boring.

There suppose to have a private trail in Vacaville in some guys ranch. Many guys I used to to wheel with went there a few times. and love it. very hard and tight trail with poison ivy everywhere.

We met some guys at Hollister one time that told us about it. They said it was like Hollister but much smaller and not as fun. I think I'll stick with Hollister.

The place in Vacaville is called Mix Challenge. Its a very small wheeling spot located on private property on the side of a mountain. The property owner Bob is an avid wheeler and allows people to wheel, BBQ, etc. on his property on just about every sunday barring holidays. All he asks is that you sign his waiver at the meeting area before you attemt any trails. The trail system is very small and consists of an easy perimeter trail that circles the property lines with very difficult steep winding ravines throughout the property waiting to flip your jeep.

It seems that most people like to get there around 10am and do some socializing/BBQing, with periodic quick runs on trails. Its more of a place to come and hang out with some like minded people with the possibility of seeing some people show up with some crazy buggies. Its pretty common to see roll overs when the purpose built guys bring their trailered toys to play.

Google Mix Challenge for a website with pics, info, and address. There is also a thread on pirate4by4 in the general area that is dedicated to mix challenge.

Yea I,ve been absent for awhile on the site.... I just gor back from a 2 month TDY to MA. It was great getting paid to work back home near where I grew up but it sucked being away from my jeep lol. Been back a few days now but have been preoccupied with house hunting. Wheeling is on hold for awhile...except for maybe just hanging out at mix challenge haha.

Right on, Stormrider... Might be hitting it up soon, if the rain stops long enough. I'm thinking I'm going to need some traction!
