Took the JK up the S. Fork of the Ahtanum last weekend, lots of new snow from the storm...

Are you locked up or was that free when you killed the axle shaft?

I'm open/open... And running the stock 3.73 gears. No plans to change, and I ordered a set of RCV's for the front so I should not see a repeat performance

OK I gotta know..... How'd it brake? Heavy deep snow wheel fully turned?
Or wheelin hard over bumps? My buddy broke his sat. fully locked and buried in snow steering fully turned winching out

And just curious what's the 37's getting for gas mileage with that ratio?

Yep, just bad decision making on my part... I was sawing the wheel back-and-forth trying to gain ground, knowing full well that it was risky with my setup.

Not sure on mileage. I have only filled up 3 times since I've owned it - the first two tanks were still bone stock and yielded just over 16mpg (all city, and one 250 mile round trip towing ~2000lbs). I installed the lift and tires, and fueled up for the snow run in the pics, but haven't filled up since so I have no data on that... I'll gladly post up when I do, though. It was about 90 miles each way to get up there, and then 6 hours or so on the trails, and I've still got over 1/4 tank.
